We always want to make sure that we get at least a fair price for anything we are looking to sell... Some folks take the position that if they list their house higher than it's real value that perhaps they will find a buyer willing to overpay or, at least, leave room to negotiate....This is a dangerous strategy in tody's real estate market... Aligning yourself with an Experienced Real Estate professional who knows the local market, and is not afraid to give you the "real scoop" on your homes "fair market value", is probably the best advise I can give you in these rather challenging times in the real estate market.
